Here we go again. We were hesitant in HD10 to include a number of contributions that exposed the IFA for shambolic internal dealings and no sooner have we gone to press than we hear that Howard Wells is reserving his right to commence legal proceedings against his employers.
Wells has suggested that he is being treated unfairly because he is English, demanding a £30K bonus on top of his £80K wage because he said this was agreed with Jim Boyce before he was ousted a year ago.
Kennedy has suggested in the past that he does not have 100% confidence in Wells. However, Wells who was a contracted employee did not have his contract renewed and so became a permanent employee. This would mean that if the IFA wanted rid they would have to pay him off. It seems however, that this has been tried and no agreement reached.
Wells, who is meant to oversee the 'runnings' of the IFA has come under fierce criticism in the past, most recently with the cancellation of the opening day of the JJB Premiership season, so this latest episode as we embark on another tournament qualifying campaign is another embarrassing set back.
The matter is due to be discussed in the courts over the next 10 days. |
