Northern Ireland football supporters will be hoping for no more bad news as we approach Saturday's game against Poland.

Our in-form striker Martin Paterson is not set to the join the squad as he tries to recover from a hamstring injury, which saw him substituted in Saturday's victory over Plymouth Argyle. Similarly, Celtic's Pat McCourt is sidelined also with a hamstring injury and a recurring back problem.

Kyle Lafferty, suspended for the Poland game anyway, will now miss the Slovenia game with an ankle injury. With Sheffield United's Jamie Ward already drafted into the ranks Worthers has now included Rangers' Andrew Little to provide attacking cover. Little has scored once in four appearances for our U-21s but has yet to make his full senior debut for Rangers.
